I know it is hard for some bettors to imagine the Patriots not going to the Superbowl but how much are you willing to give up? They will have to absolutly crush the Steelers today before I will believe betting the Pats makes sense.

It is a fact that they would have been 1-2 point dogs in this game before last weeks win over the Colts. How can you justify a 4-5 point swing in this weeks game by a win over the Colts. They own Indy mentally. That is a fact. They do not have that edge over the Steelers.

The only team they have truly dominated in the post season since the first Superbowl season has been the Colts. The Raider game came down to a rule changing play, a field goal against the Rams, and a game ending drive against the Panthers. Yes, they always get it done. Yes, they were 14 point dogs in the first Superbowl. Yes, they have the edge in coaching and QBing. And finally yes Vinateri will probably win it for them. You Pats backers better hope they give him 4 points for his FG's today.

If the Steelers lose by 4-7 every Pats backer will be crowing about being on the right side. I will be taking notes about who is backing the Pats in this game because if you continue to give up this much value, you will lose.

Steelers +3, unless Rothlisberger really rookies it up today, win or lose this is the right side.

FWIW (probably not much) I still believe, despite last week's domination of the Colts, that if the game is played in Indy the Pats lose.
